At this recent meeting, Young Leaders obtained tools for leadership within their practices and as a volunteer leaders in organized orthodontics by:
- Understanding communication styles in a way that will help them connect with people from multiple generations and build their practice;
- Utilizing high-level emotional intelligence to lead effectively and achieve positive outcomes;
- Working with peers to develop strategies to help the orthodontic specialty address its most pressing challenges; and
- Helping the AAO leadership shape the association’s direction for the future by discussing their ideas with the AAO Board of Trustees.
