AAO members are grassroots advocates and continue to make a difference on policy priorities with the AAO.  The AAO is committed to advocating for you and your patients at both the state and federal levels. We work to keep you informed about legislative and regulatory issues that could affect you as an orthodontist and offer an opportunity to share your voice and connect with lawmakers.

We are excited to share with you our new advocacy platform Capitol Canary (previously Voter Voice). Capitol Canary will help the AAO Advocacy Team continue to keep you informed about news in your state or in Congress and make it easier for you to take action and share your voice via email, phone call, or text.  Your voice makes all the difference influencing our policy priorities across the country!

Once you receive an email this week from AAO Advocacy at [email protected] via Capitol Canary, please save that email address so that you won’t miss out on any breaking AAO advocacy news! Then, please take a moment–less than a minute– to email your lawmakers  and share with lawmakers the AAO’s findings about the financial and health risks of mail-order orthodontic treatment. You can read the press release here and AAO’s refusal to one mail-order orthodontic company’s demands to retract the information shared from the AAO’s survey.
