Consumer Awareness Program

Bringing the benefits of orthodontics to more people.

The AAO Consumer Awareness Program (CAP) is the only mass-market campaign designed to educate consumers on the benefits of seeing an orthodontic specialist for treatment.

The digitally focused effort uses a variety of free and paid tactics to drive traffic to AAO’s consumer-facing website. In FY26, CAP ads drove over 17 million visits to the AAO consumer website. And we’re not done yet. We continue to create informative, entertaining and engaging content that is regularly picked up in generative AI citations and posted on various social media channels.

As an AAO member, you can access CAP marketing assets to enhance your practice’s visibility. We provide user-friendly marketing materials, including social media posts, consumer blogs, informational videos, and logos, to help you promote your practice effectively.
