Mental Wellness Resources

Resources to support mental wellness

Mental wellness is an important part of overall health. It affects how people think, feel and act. Mental wellness is a positive state of mind that allows people to cope with everyday stresses, work productively, and contribute to their community. It’s a dynamic process that’s more than just the absence of mental illness.

The AAO Mental Wellness Task Force has curated a variety of resources for orthodontists and their staff to help themselves and to help others. They are not intended to diagnose. Here are three easy steps to get started:

  1. Understand your own mental wellness by taking a confidential online screener.
  2. Explore and share AAO curated resources.
  3. Talk about mental wellness with your colleagues and teams.
