At the February 2025 BOT meeting the Board approved that the AAO library becomes a journal only request library when the librarian retires. The librarian retired on June 30, 2026.

Journal Article Requests
Use this section to check whether the AAO Library has access to the journal article you need and submit a request.
Check Journal Availability
Before submitting a request, review the AAO Journal Holdings List to confirm whether the journal is available through the AAO Library.
Request a Journal Article
The AAO Library can only email articles that are available in the library collection.
Articles Not Available Through the AAO Library
If the article you need is not available through the AAO Library, try one of the options below:
- Students and faculty members: Contact your school’s Health Sciences Library.
- ADA members: Contact the ADA Library for assistance.
- All users: Visit the journal publisher’s website to purchase access directly.
