Volunteer for a CODA Leadership Role

AAO members interested in serving in a volunteer capacity with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) as a joint-AAO & ABO appointee are invited to apply for an open position on the Commission’s Review Committee on Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Education. The deadline to apply for the position is Friday, April 19. 

A joint-committee of AAO Board of Trustees and ABO officers will review applications, interview candidates, and provide an appointment recommendation to CODA by mid-May.

The approved volunteer would start their role in Fall 2025.  Review Committee members are appointed for one, four-year term beginning and ending with the ADA Annual Meeting each Fall.

The appointee will be required to attend a Review Committee/Commissioner Training Program on December 5-6, 2024. Review Committee members may be requested to participate on site visits and ad hoc committee assignments, as well as review committee responsibilities. Additionally, to facilitate Commission activities, members are expected to have the ability to conduct business electronically using email and the Commission’s meeting website.
