A total of approximately 12,000 AAO members from around the world, team members, exhibitors and guests brought high energy and enthusiasm for learning to the 2023 Annual Session, April 21-24 in Chicago. This year’s meeting included the debut of the New Products Showcase Award competition, for products that became commercially available at any time since the 2022 Annual Session.
All orthodontists at the 2023 Annual Session were eligible to be judges in the competition and many were eager to cast votes for their top picks from the 17 New Products Showcase Award entries. Dr. Neal Kravitz*, chair of the AAO Committee on Technology, announced the winners on April 24 at the Innovation Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall:
● Best in Show – DM Insights from DentalMonitoring
● 2nd Place –Spark Aligner’s Integrated Hooks from ORMCO
● 3rd Place –The Slate Electric Flosser from Slate Dental
