The AAO Political Action Committee Board of Directors and AAOPAC Captains need your help to achieve a key fiscal year goal by May 31. There is still more work to be done: We are less than 5% ($8,666.00) away from our goal of reaching $460,000 for the fiscal year.

The AAOPAC Board is also working to secure a record-breaking 1,303 AAOPAC contributors this fiscal year. As the AAO focuses on advancing our policy priorities in Washington, D.C. and throughout the states, please help support AAO Advocacy priorities now by making your gift celebrating 125 years of AAO in 2025 before May 31.

If you have not contributed since June 1, 2024, you still have time to make your FY 2024-25 contribution at AAOPAC.org. Please take a moment now to send any amount to help achieve our goals for the fiscal year. Please contact Gianna Nawrocki, Advocacy Manager and AAOPAC Treasurer, at [email protected] with any questions.

It only takes a few minutes to complete your contribution, using your e-mail address associated with your AAO membership. You can also view your giving history and profile.

Our AAOPAC Pillars of Giving are working and the AAO’s bipartisan advocacy influence continues to grow through member grassroots engagement. Your grassroots voice and AAOPAC support make all the difference! Thank you for helping to achieve these goals in a record-breaking AAOPAC year and making a difference for AAO advocacy priorities and influence through your support.

Three Constituent Regions Achieve 100% Participation During 2025 House of Delegates Challenge at Annual Session
Thank you to each member of the AAO House of Delegates who contributed to the AAOPAC as part of the annual House of Delegates challenge. Three AAO constituent regions achieved 100% participation with all delegates and alternate delegates contributing $500 or more to AAOPAC (or AAO Foundation when applicable) in 2025.*

Congratulations to the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists for meeting the challenge and winning the House of Delegates competition for the second consecutive year. Thank you for your continued support of AAOPAC that helps fuel our AAO advocacy success.

Washington MedStar Hospital Orthodontic Resident Program Achieved 100% AAOPAC Participation
Orthodontic residents also continue to make a difference through their contributions to AAOPAC.

A powerful initiative spurring resident engagement came from Dr. Rachel Thorstenson (FY24-25 CONYM Liaison to the AAOPAC Board) and Dr. Zack Miller (FY24-25 CONYM Liaison to the AAO Council on Government Advocacy). They spearheaded the annual AAOPAC Orthodontic Resident Challenge in 2025 to encourage all orthodontic residency programs to increase the number of contributors to AAOPAC.

The challenge resulted in the MedStar Washington Hospital orthodontic resident program claiming the title of back-to-back champions of this challenge with 100% AAOPAC participation. Congratulations to MedStar Washington Hospital Center and to all resident contributors for your important support!

* Only U.S. citizens may donate to the AAOPAC. Non-citizens in groups participating in contribution challenges may donate to the AAO Foundation and have their contributions counted toward their group’s AAOPAC challenge record.
