On Thursday, April 30 (the day before the 2026 Annual Session begins), attendees from around the world will already be listening to intriguing lectures at the first-ever International Pre-Conference.

The program was developed by the AAO Committee on Conferences and Meetings (CCon), in collaboration with the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO). As the global epicenter for continuing education in the specialty, Annual Session typically hosts 10,000 or more orthodontist attendees. Nearly a third of those represent the AAO’s international membership, which comes from more than 90 countries.

The Pre-Conference will be open to all U.S., Canadian and International AAO members and WFO members who are registered for Annual Session.

Extending from 8 a.m. until 3:45 p.m., the Pre-Conference will feature eight 45-minute lectures. Also included will be three 15-minute sessions, including a WFO article award recipient lecture and case presentations from a WFO-affiliated group, Future Leaders in Orthodontics (FLOS).

Join your colleagues and enjoy high-interest clinical and scientific lectures by experts such as Dr. Vinod Krishnan of India, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists (JWFO), and Dr. Derya Germec Cakan, past editor-in-chief of the Turkish Journal of Orthodontics.  Distinguished lecturers also include Dr. Reem Alansari of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Adith Venugopal of New Zealand, Dr. Jorge Castillo of Peru, Dr. Joseph Varghese of India, Dr. Young Guk Park of South Korea, and Dr. Vaska Vandevska-Radunovic of Norway.
