Career-Related Annual Session Events
● Practice Transition Seminar, Friday, May 3 (J.W. Marriott Los Angeles)
Whether you are exploring orthodontic career paths or preparing to make a transition, this full-day program will feature expert orthodontic consultants to help you evaluate your options and establish realistic expectations for various arrangements in practice sales, associateships, and partnerships. Members who are approaching retirement and planning to sell their practices, and/or bring in partners or associates, will be in attendance in part to network with those seeking career opportunities. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception sponsored by Ziegler Practice Transitions. Residents’ ticket price is $60. Members in active practice pay $125.
● New Orthodontists and Residents Conference, Saturday, May 4, 10:30 a.m. –12 noon (J.W. Marriott Los Angeles)
This program from the AAO Council on New and Younger Members will feature two keynote speakers, Dr. Anil Idiculla and Dr. Neal Kravitz, sharing their perspectives on orthodontic practice. Both speakers are noted for developing expertise in practice management early in their careers. Enjoy a free coffee bar sponsored by the AAO Insurance Company.
There is no fee for members attending this event, and no ticket/reservation requirement. Following the New Orthodontists and Residents Conference, plan to remain in the room for the AAO Members/Leaders Roundtable (open to all members). Meet with AAO leaders to ask questions and share your perspective on issues facing the specialty. Complimentary luncheon will be provided. This event is also sponsored by the AAO Insurance Company. No advance reservation is required.
● Orthodontic Career Fair, Sunday, May 5, 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (J.W. Marriott Los Angeles)

● Orthodontic Residents Reception, Sunday, May 5, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Lucky Strike L.A. Live)

There is no fee for student (resident) members attending the Residents Reception, but a ticket is required and should be reserved in advance via registration. Guest tickets (required) are available for $35. Sponsored by American Orthodontics.
● New Orthodontist and Resident Lounge. Located in the Concourse Foyer at the Convention Center and open daily Friday, May 3 – Monday, May 6 from 7 am – 5 pm and from 7 am – 12 pm on Tuesday, May 7.
