October is National Orthodontic Health Month (NOHM). The observance is in part a celebration of healthy, beautiful smiles and the benefits of orthodontic treatment – but also, an opportunity to focus on the importance of good oral health, especially for orthodontic patients and those who are interested in treatment.
National Bullying Prevention Month coincides with NOHM. The AAO now works during October to help raise awareness of bullying and provides resources for members to encourage being part of the solution to this difficult problem.
In combination with the anti-bullying campaign, the AAO continues to engage in National Orthodontic Health Month outreach and provides traditional National Orthodontic Health Month materials for members.
Are you looking for fun and educational ways to remind your patients and other practice audiences about how orthodontic treatment benefits patients? Flyers, posters, social media posts and more are available from the AAO. Members are welcome to share the entertaining and informative messaging included in these materials to help spread the word about how orthodontic treatment from an orthodontist will result in a healthy, beautiful smile.
