AAOPAC pacing to break all-time fundraising record.
AAO Public Policy Survey results inform policy priorities in 2023.
The AAO Political Action Committee reached 75% of its fundraising goal during the AAO’s fiscal year third quarter. Contributions are on pace to break the all-time AAOPAC giving record ($356,151) this fiscal year, ending May 31. A growing number of AAO members are investing in AAOPAC to help fuel our advocacy success not only in Washington, D.C. but in states throughout the country. Please consider making a contribution for 2023 now at AAOPAC.org.
Results of the 2nd annual AAO Public Policy Survey show that the majority of AAO respondents said they have seen patients come into their offices for retreatment due to harm caused by mail-order orthodontics without an examination: a total of 77 percent, with 56 percent of respondents reporting seeing such patients at least once per quarter (with a margin of error of +/- 4 points).
The survey is also being used to inform our data-driven policy priorities in 2023, including: patient health and safety concerns relating to mail-order orthodontic treatment models; workforce shortages and small business challenges; student loan debt; and access to quality care.
