Unleash womens’ remarkable potential to have impact as leaders in their workplace, families and community.
While women have made substantial gains in the profession of orthodontics, society is demanding more of us than ever before. The 24 hour “on “ culture, juggling the needs of our practices and our families, the political environment and dismantling social structures requires leaders to be clear about what it is they stand for.
The commitment of the AAO is to radically accelerate the empowerment of exceptional women through leadership development. This training is designed to unleash women’ remarkable potential to have impact as leaders in their workplace, families, and community. We believe that the unique perspective that women will bring to the table will help solve our most pressing problems.
This leadership development program will include special focus on preparing women to take on key leadership roles. This program is based on years of academic and practical experience and will be composed of 5 modules that will include a webinar by our great speakers, followed by small group sessions (virtually) to discuss the topics and to learn from each other.
The participants will be working with the Leadership Challenge Framework.
The five month program will be based on the international bestselling book by Barry Posner and Jim Kouzes, The Leadership Challenge: How to Make Extraordinary Things Happen in Organizations (6th edition).
Our instructors, Tanya Monsof and Maame Afron, have taught this material for over eight years at Santa Clara University and in over 50 countries. They take great pride in catalyzing the impact of female leaders. This book will be provided to all participants who enroll in this course. Learn more about our instructors.
