The AAO’s efforts regarding Direct-To-Consumer Orthodontics  have taken a broad approach, as we strive to protect the health and safety of orthodontic patients, both current and prospective. Please note, AAO members can choose to contact their state, territory, or provincial dental boards or authorities, their state Attorney General’s consumer protection office or provincial consumer affairs office, regulatory agencies like the Food and Drug Administration, and their elected officials about dental issues.
