Young patients’ schedules may be in flux this fall as they transition from virtual to in-person school – or vice versa – as case numbers rise or fall in your community and local schools. Meanwhile, members of your team may be working limited hours due to their own families’ needs for childcare and virtual school support.

Cain Watters & Associates has made recent additions to its series of short, free webinars addressing COVID-19-related practice management issues. Two webinars include strategic suggestions for heading off the diverse scheduling challenges presented by COVID-19:

Episode 4: Stabilize Your Staff and Patient Demand with Creative Scheduling
The webinar includes scheduling techniques that have been used in dental and dental specialty practices to maintain production during this challenging time.

Episode 5: Creating and Implementing an Effective Cross-Training Plan
This presentation addresses how orthodontic practices can maintain schedule flow and covers administrative and clinical cross-training.

Webinar Offers Overview of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act

Last spring, the U.S. government enacted the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA), which addresses paid sick leave requirements and other COVID-19-related situations pertaining to employment.

With many orthodontic practices closed when the FFCRA passed, owners may not have become aware of requirements for compliance with the FFCRA at that time. As the issues involved still exist, Cain Watters offers a webinar summarizing the FFCRA requirements, exemptions for small employers and partial exemptions.
