Every two years, the AAO collects information from practicing members in the United States and Canada regarding changes in their practices and patient numbers from the prior year through the Economics of Orthodontics and Patient Census survey.
The 2018 survey was emailed to members on January 23. Please check your in-box messages for that date to access the survey (or the reminder sent on January 31st) and note that the survey will be available for completion through Wednesday, February 13.
Your time in completing the survey is greatly appreciated as member responses will help the AAO monitor the orthodontic practice environment, provide timely information to the media on practice trends and patient data, and help members compare their practice results to others.
To show our appreciation for your participation, you will have access to the aggregated results summary once the analysis is complete. In addition, each member who completes the survey will be entered in a drawing for one of two complimentary two-night stays at the AAO leadership hotel (JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live) during the 2019 Annual Session – valued at more than $700 (room + tax)!
The survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Please be aware that it does not need to be finished in one sitting. In addition, you can skip any question(s) that do not apply to you or for which the information is unavailable.
