Would you like to have input on proposed AAO actions and policies that will impact the future of the AAO and the specialty? All AAO members are invited to comment on resolutions that will be voted on by the 2024 House of Delegates, which will meet in conjunction with the 2024 Annual Session in New Orleans.
AAO House of Delegates Reference Committees will hold hearings on May 3 (see below), which members are invited to attend for the purpose of commenting on 2024 HOD resolutions. The Reference Committees will consider testimony (comments) from members while finalizing resolutions to put forward before the HOD for voting at its second meeting on May 6.
If you cannot attend a Reference Committee hearing, we invite you to review resolutions using the platform linked below, and post comments on any resolutions of interest. All comments on resolutions posted by noon CDT on May 1 will be considered as testimony by the HOD Reference Committees during their hearings on May 3.

Overview of the AAO Tech Transformation Resolution
Resolution #28-24 BOT (Infrastructure and Technology Reserve Fund) concerns a major proposed initiative, the Tech Transformation of the AAO. The plan would involve extensive upgrading of all AAO technologies through which members obtain information and access resources – to significantly enhance the ease, speed and relevance of the process of getting the content you want.

Members Are Invited to 2024 Governance Meetings in New Orleans
If you will be in New Orleans on May 3, you are invited to offer commentary on House of Delegates resolutions during Reference Committee hearings. 2024 Reference Committee meetings will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Central, in Grand Salons 3/6/9 (#1), 12/15/18 (#2) and 21/24 (#3).
In addition, all AAO members are welcome to observe the HOD meetings in person or via a livestream that will be on the AAO Facebook page. 2024 HOD meetings will be held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Grand Ballroom A/B:
● First HOD Meeting: Friday, May 3, 12 pm – 3 pm Central
● Second HOD Meeting: Monday, May 6, 12 pm – 5 pm Central, unless business concludes earlier.
