Lifetime Achievement Award in Orthodontic Research Award Past Winners
The Lifetime Achievement Award in Orthodontic Research (LAAOR) seeks to recognize those who have advanced the specialty of orthodontics through their efforts in research conducted over their career. This award was created by the AAO Board of Trustees at their November 2015 meeting.
Nominations for the award are sent to the Editor-in-Chief of the AJO-DO. The awardee will be determined at the AAO BOT Pre-Annual Session meeting. The winner of the award will be invited to make a presentation at the next AAO Annual Session. Announcement of the next winner of the award will be made at the AAO Annual Session at the conclusion of the lecture given by the current recipient.
The first award winner was announced at the 2016 AAO Annual Session and the award winner lecture was given at the 2017 AAO Annual Session.
