International Marketing Resources
At the American Association of Orthodontists, we know that we share the same goals with other national orthodontic societies around the world—providing excellent care to our patients, equipping our orthodontists to provide that care, and encouraging patients to see an orthodontic specialist for their treatment.
At the AAO, we’ve developed various resources designed to promote key messages and educate patients. Now, we’re excited to collaborate with your national society to share these valuable tools with you.
Recently, we partnered with the Greek Orthodontic Society, providing them with videos from our consumer education campaign, “The Science of Smiles.” They translated the videos into Greek, co-branded them with their logo alongside ours, and shared them with their members for use in their practices.
This collaboration was a great success. We invite you to watch this brief video from 2024-2025 AAO President, Dr. John Callahan, as he discusses the partnership and our offer to work with your society.
AAO Resources
The AAO has a number of resources that we could partner with your national society to use. These include:
Patient Education Brochures
Informed patients are happier, healthier patients. We provide a range of brochures to help you offer your patients information and the support they need.
Science of Smiles Campaign
The Science of Smiles is a campaign to educate consumers about orthodontic treatment and the vital role of AAO orthodontists. With expert insights from real orthodontists, this campaign dispels misconceptions and provides a comprehensive understanding of the complex biological process involved in achieving a beautiful, healthy smile. Plus, Digital tools and resources will help promote your practice.
Consumer Education: Risks of “Mewing” Trend
The latest TikTok trend, Mewing, has sparked a resurgence in curiosity. However, it’s crucial to note that this trend lacks a foundation in scientific evidence and research. The AAO has previously cautioned against the technique. These materials will empower you to inform patients about the exaggerated promises and potential complexities associated with this practice.
Social Media
Your patients are on social media—and you should be, too. We provide a full range of images for sharing on blogs, Facebook, and other channels.
In addition to these resources, the AAO has a variety of other materials that we could co-brand with your national society.
We would be happy to support your society through this partnership. To learn more, please contact the AAO CEO, Trey Lawrence, at [email protected].
